Okay all I am ending 2007/starting 2008 with a question..

I saw that one before. It actualy has a little electric motor in it too. You never need to inflate it so that would save you a few bucks on a pump.[cool]

[sly].. it turns out that I already have a pump...seems we bought it a while back to pump up spa toys..
..just curious who makes this.. it reminded me of bendo's fishcat 60 but in the shape of a tube.. it looks like with some extra pads on the seat it could be a comfortable ride...

That thing is like a "Big Wheel" of float tubes. You only train from it........ha ha just kidding.
Actually one of our members won 1 of those in a fishing Derby. I still can't fathom the rock hard seat either.[shocked]

I bet it was too expensive...might as well have a boat. I liked the live well. And the storage. And the Stereo with sub-woofer that would have been installed. And a little warm water wash for you hands. Paper Towel dispenser. Downriggers? Hula Girl Bobblehead. Slide out fillet board. Heaven.

] but from that picture this thing has everything except a porta potty on it.. and with battery/motor it probably weighed a ton and therefore was not very portable.. oh welll... it would of been out of my league anyway..
..you would think some company would come up with a solidly built tube like this that doesnt have all the fancy stuff.. Im just thinking that something solidly made (no blowing it up) that wont sink from punctures.. is lightweight and easy to get to and from the water.. will eventually be made and the price would be kept low.. oh well.. my first pipe dream for 2008 [sly]

Manufacturers listen to all of the dreamers and then try to come up with something they think will fill all needs. But, when nobody throws any money at it , they are forced to close up shop and wonder "Wha hoppen?"[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I get a good chuckle every time I see a new hare-brained idea hit the market. I harken back to the early days of float tubing, when we had to make our own covers to fit a truck tire inner tube. Nothing fancy. Just something to hold everything together while we thrashed our way out to where the fish were biting better than where we could cast from shore. It was wonderful.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Then came the first commercially made covers...with pockets and straps and everything. Wooo hooo! Bonanza! Next we got Uboats and Vboats. No more climbing in over the sides of our round tubes. Yeeee hawwww![/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Then the pontoons began getting better and more fisherman friendly...and we got hybrid tube/toons or pontubes. Even more choices. Even got a lot of goodies and accessories available online...so we don't have to make all that stuff ourselves.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It was bound to happen. Float tubers and pontooners started asking..."Wouldn't it be great if we could add motors...and other boating type stuff?" Pretty soon, everybody is trying to turn tubes and toons into boats. Why? If you want or need a boat, get a boat. If you like the quiet and simple approach of a float tube or pontoon, just get one and live with it.[/#0000ff]

....now if hobie only made a craft like the one at the beginning but without the motor/battery area... something simple to use but with lots of storage.. lightweight... main thing would be no motor.... just your fins.. again..,a pipe dream.. [
