Hi moved to Doral couple months ago havent gone fishing yet looking for nearest Fresh/Salt for edible non polluted fish . Got my license fresh/salt few days ago.
Lots of canals in area but cant eat those .

Not interested in going out yet in boat so river, lake, pier, shore fishing is what looking for.

Any good shops, tackle places regardless of drive would be great as only have rod, reel need tackle, bait, etc.

Thank you

most of those small lakes/ponds in and around the housing centers have big bass in them . . .

okeechobee's only 2 hrs away!

I just got back from some lake inlet located behind some import place. I pass it on the way to work and took the rod/reel and couple lures to give it a shot after work.

I lost both lures as full of fallen trees but that happens however this particular areas was bit dirty off 95st by 27 ave .
A sea of trucks parked there for the night after inhaling truck fumes for an hour with tires and junk dumped by the shore I felt like I was back in NY lol.

I know what you mean about those "ponds" community lakes but you have to live in the community to get to them. I live in Costa Verde nothing as far as that here.

I will give okeechobee a try as heard its good but looking for close place I can go after work or just on a Fri night without driving much.

Okeechobee looks good and going to head to the ocean week after. I know best fishing is by boat but I I prefer pier or surf fishing.
