We had a somewhat disappointing day @ the berry. We fished from 0800 to 1130 and managed to only land a few, missed some and was broke off of another.
We fished west of the marina in 9-20 feet of water depending where we punched a hole. The best action was in 13 ft with a white jig (cutter or whatta cricket) and nightcrawler. We got away from people and had a hard time finding the fish. The ice was 6-10 inches thick with no slush and a little snow. The weather was overcast and 20 deg for most of the morning.
It's tuff when you think that you are doing everything "right" and still have a slow day. I guess these trips make the other ones even more fun.
The highlight of the day was watching the few fish from the tent and see the strike !!
