There is a book available at Sportsmans Warehouse and at Galyans called Precision Trolling. Tom P. uses it and advised me to get a copy. So I did. It has every lure in there that I have and has dive charts set up to show you how deep your lure will run with how much line you have out. All of these were tested by using 10lb. trilene. So that is what Tom P. uses and now I have my trolling rods rigged with it and depth counter reels. I think this will help my trolling success at Willard and other ponds. Get a copy, if you troll alot, it is well worth it in my opinion.

You knid of need that book to get the best info on a variety of lures and lines and techniques. It can get crazy though. Its been put through the ringer a couple times and is quite defined. It takes into account the type of line you use and its water resistance and diameter plus the lure or weight ect and ammount of line let out. Downriggers make things like that a lot easier, but when longlining, you have to expiriment or do some reading.
