I was up there on Saturday and the ice was a good 6-8 inches with a couple of inches of slush on top. We didn't make it out deep enough for the perch (we were only in 12-15 feet of water) but we did manage to catch one stray. We did quite well with the trout until about 11am and then it just totally shut off. It looked like the ice was plenty good to take you well out past the buoys so you should be able to get to the deep water just fine.
