[font "High Tower Text"][#400080][size 3][crazy] I came across a New fishing lure from Asia that has set records in the US, 3 to 1, [blush]this lure has a LED light that blinks blood-red to simulate an injury, this Patented lure from Asia uses a high-tech chip to create the appearance of live bleeding prey, It has caught more fish than live bait in many contests, [laugh]I have watched videos of under water cameras in florida, wahington State, and the mid west, to see that this is a true statement (by video) there are 3 different lures to choose from, 1-Tiger 4-6 feet, 2-Cobra 12-16 feet, 3-Viper deep diver sinker, This LURE is so effective that it is banded in Wyoming, and Canada soon to follow, this because of its ability to imatate bleeding prey. This LURE works in Fresh and Salt water, You get 4 for the price of $39.95. I've seen the infomercial for the bleeding one on tv. And I've seen the ads for the jointed one in several fishing rags. Don't know anything about them personally, however.

Sounds like something geared more for fisherman than fish. If you could find out why it's banned (or if) you might have all the answers.

I thought the "Snagless" Banjo minnow was going to be the best lure ever when I ordered it. First cast I got snagged, used it a couple of other times and it just scared the fish away.
Those stupid commecials get you excited, but like previously mentioned, Those toys are more for the fisherman than the fish.

I have used the Cobra for steelhead at night on the Clearwater. I actually like the lighted Brad's Wiggler and lighted Kwikfish better. The batteries didn't last too long on the Cobra and they require the lure to be moving for the light to flash. Both the Brad's and the Kwikfish flash based on a circuit being closed, which happens when the screw eyes that hold both hooks on contact water.

I bit on this lure because the ad show them fishing on the Columbia for salmon at the same place I fished. Well I didn't catch squat.

As Mojo1 stated - the lighted lures work for Steelhead at night and if you find another use let me know because I haven't....

maybe slow trolling at night for Burbot at the Gorge....[unsure]

Sportsman's warehouse in Midvale has some of the lighted Brad's wiggler's if you want to try a lighthed lure out.
