[black]As additional information to TubeDude's reminder that photos on the forum must be sized for posting, I have listed a few options below that can be used with ease by almost anyone interested.[/black]

These software programs are free, and are down loadable from the net and can be located by typing their names in Google.

1- IrfanView - This program is good for resizing, and has some features for manipulating photos. (I use this one for resizing)

2- Picasa2 - This is a free Google product, and has incredible features. Very good for manipulating/improving photos that were not just right from the camera. It also offers a good spot with organizing features for photo storage within your PC. (I use this one to make photos better than they come from the camera)

3- Power Toys - This is a site of free Microsoft products. There is a resizing software listed, I have never tried this one, but suspect that it is good.

4- One of the BFT members, who a short time ago, wrote a resizing software program, [black]and posted it. I can't find the program or who wrote it, but maybe someone reading this will know.[/black]

These are my suggestions, if anyone has questions or needs help with these freebies, give me a PM.

Just resize photos in Paint. Open your file in paint, go to "stretch skew" and reduce the pic. size. This will also greatly reduce your
file size as well.

I'll second what Cadresults said.
I really don't see a need to complicate everything when you can just use "paint". Can't get any easier than that.

Some of us do not have the old outdated "paint" program. I find that Irfanview is very easy to use for re-sizing pics. Irfanview is definetely the way to go, and its free!

[black]I agree that "paint" can resize photos, but in IrfanView, you can select the actual pixel (number) size that you require, rather than a per-centage of size of the original, making it a one shot modification.[/black]

I would invite anyone to try IrfanView, simple, small download, that can be deleted if you don't like it.

The program that really impresses me is the Google freebie, Picasa2. That too is a small download that will go into your PC, make a copy of all photos, store them by anyway you want to categorize them, and show them in any size you want for review.(from thumbnail or large) The other nice thing about the program, is that you can lighten, darken, crop, reduce blur, change appearance, etc.

A good program to try just to see if you like it.
In my opinion, better than most software that is not free.

I made a web based tool for BFT if you want to use it.

http://www.noluv.us/BFT/

All you have to do is click "Browse" find your picture, and click "Convert"... easy as pie Smile. That will convert your picture for you. Then, if you want to save it and upload it to BFT, just right click on your picture and "Save As". Posting after that point is normal process.

edit: URL fixed, and... I don't want to start a Pie is greater than Cake conversation with this Wink. Even though pie is always greater than cake.

[black]I haven't tried it yet, but that looks like a piece of cake, lol[/black]

TubeDude, is there is a way that it could be placed on "sticky" so it will be there for everyone to use with ease?

[cool][#0000ff]I included a link to his post inside my sticky post at the top about picture posting.[/#0000ff]

I second Picasa.. It's really cool.

For quick access to paint do this:
click start button -> click run-> type in the box 'mspaint' (without the single quotes.. boom.. the program is open.

If you prefer faster..
push your windows key on keyboard (usually in-between ctrl and alt)
type the letter "R" on the keyboard (this will bring up the "Run" menu) hit enter
type in "mspaint".. hit enter.

so..
windows key -> R -> mspaint

I was wondering about sizing pictures too. I just down loaded IrfanView. It was quick and easy. And I got my picture sized and posted in no time. Thanks for the info.
