Made another trip to the berry on sunday with my dad and a friend of ours we parked at the turn off for the marina and were the only one there sense they seem to have plowed the parking area in. We rode our snowmobiles along the trail to Haws Point again and we fished really close to the same area we fished on New Years Day. Only fought the slush monster in a few spots on the way across the ice and around were we fished. The ice was between 5 and 7 inches thick, we fished in 30 ft of water again and had another excellent day of fishing got set up around 10 am and within the first 15 min. we were there I caught two fish about 19 inches, one weighted in at two pounds. [Smile] By the time my dad caught his first fish I think I was up to around my 6th or 7th one none of them keepable. [Wink] The friend of ours that we took caught the only keepable one that would have been 24 inches other than it was missing part of its tail so it was only 23 we fished until about 5 pm We were using meal worms, salmon eggs, and even power bait they were hitting all day long. Going to try and go again Saturday 1-19-08 if the weather hold out and probably going to fish in the same area it seems to be doing great so far. [sly]

I am planning on heading out this Saturday. How is the ice on the lake? I have a snowmobile and want to make sure I am okay. Should I stick just to the edges or can I shoot across the bays to areas? Specifically, I am wanting to head to Indian Creek. Anyone have a recent posting from there?

I saw four people on snowmobiles going back across the lake toward the marine from the area around Renegade don't know how thick it is around the middle but there is alot of slush everywhere.
