Has anyone been fishing for trout? if you have been is there any size to them?

Here's a rainbow. Most our way are from 12"-18" Great to catch on a flyrod and a good fish for the smoker. This one was 28" 7lb 11oz.

I was wanting to get out with my new tipup to hook up with trout I think I marked on the sonar down about 80 feet.

how deap was this one?
what kind of structure was he hiding on?
and what color did he like?

no, I dont want ya to hook it for me [] just a couple basic clues would be nice ...[]

the biggest I have seen is only about 20 inches. well the biggest I have ever caught. I dont usualy target trout year round, just in the spring, but I have been wanting to spend a day or two looking for them though the ice...

Very nice fish!, that fish will give you bragging rights for awhile. Where was he caught at?

I got it at Lake St.Catherine in VT on a blue with white belly, jointed crankbait. I was bass fishing a flat in 10ft of water. Didn't it just get in the way of my bass fishing.[] Nice surprise. It was a breeder they had let go about a year before I caught her.
