Ok so i'm someone new to the sport and every time i been out i like to ask other people where they fish and this last time i met a guy at Utah lake fishing for white bass just for fun and he told me about some fresh water holes at salt air is this true or was he pulling my strings.[crazy]

He was telling you straight. The ponds are a little west of Saltair on the north side of I 80. They have a few largemouth bass & bluegill in them.

[cool][#0000ff]They are known collectively as the "I-80 Ponds". They are fed by runoff and seepage that contains a lot of chemicals. Night fishing there is easy. The fish glow in the dark.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Seriously, there used to be a lot of decent bluegills and bass, but even with the questionable edibility of the fish many people harvest them and both size and numbers are way down. Good place to go for practicing your stillwater fly flingin' on bluegills, but many of our community ponds are just as good...or better...and closer to most of us.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Shore fishing is limited by the thick brush. You can carry and launch a float tube, but getting down can be tricky.[/#0000ff]
