Well between 4 of us we caught about 60 perch from 5-10 inches.
Most were taken just off the bottom and perch eye was the best bait. Lure color didn't seem to matter but for me a kastmaster above a jig baited worked best.
we were over 15' of water and catchin dropped off around 1pm, we started at 9 am.

Nice job. Those look like some pretty decent perch! They really look fat. Did you catch any walleye or trout? I haven't made it to Salmon Falls this year but plan to get there in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the report! I was kind of wondering how the ice was with the warmer weather.

No eyes or trout this trip, trout seem to hang out in the another part of the bay. Not sure on how to catch the walleye or even where to try, any ideas?

I have never caught a walleye. I have done well on the trout through the ice and on open water on the south side of the area. I am not sure on the names however. When I have gone to Salmon Falls I take the Big Sandy bay road and go straight down to the lake. I did take the left road that goes down to the lake one time just to see what it looked like but have never fished it. Is Big Sandy bay straight down or is it to the left?

Straight down is Grey's Landing and to the left is Big Sand bay
