I have a 96 Dodge Cummins 5.9 12-valve diesel, 3/4 ton extended cab longbed. I walked out to my truck after work and noticed the tailpipe hanging down, the back of the muffler had rusted off. I've had intentions of running 4" exhaust from the turbo but now the time has come.
It is the original exhaust system and I imagine it still has the catilytic? converter but was told that I don't have to have one on my diesel. True/false???
I have no idea yet on how much this will cost and was looking for some help from other diesel owners on performance and having bigger exhaust and maybe some suggestions on where to get the exhaust system from.

John,

The bigger exhaust will help. The more air they get, the cooler they run. Yes, You will need that converter sooner than you think exspecially down where you live. Dont take it out. There is some good places up here in Weber county to do those exhausts. One in paticular. If your interested, Pm me for my new cell number and will talk
