Has anyone ice fished these lately? I read posts from a couple years ago and people had fished them through the ice. Just wondering about ice conditions since I have a friend that lives right next to them and I will be staying there for a few days. Thanks for any info.

There is ice on them. I went by to check them out a couple weeks ago. Saw nothing that says its illegal to ice fish there, nor in the 08 proclamation. I saw old ice holes around the edges. I attempted to walk on but found a very thin patch. I decided to see if it would stand a little stomp or two and I went through up to my knee. Not fun. You could risk it I guess. Apparently some people have.
