Fished East Canyon on 2/6/08, out from the boat ramp near the bouys with very poor results - not a single fish, drilled holes in 63', 32' and 8' feet of water, very few fish on the finder. Did talk to two groups of two who had a few fish on the ice after several hours and one reported better success using Powerbait (didn't seem to matter what flavor) on an small triple hook in about 50' feet of water on the bottom. Latter in the afternoon went down to Taylor Hollow in 51' and had similar results - nothing on the finder and not a bite - used a Kastmaster and ice worm tipped with a wax worm and second poll tipped with a piece of a worm.
Fished Hyrum Res. on Sat. went with 3 other guys and a six years old, caught 21 perch and 10 rainbows, one of which was 20" long.

Sounds like you had a great time on Hyrum. Was that your catch total, or the group's total of fish?
Glad you had a good time.

The Hyrum count of fish was a group total.

Hi King_Fish, say what was the ice thickness at east Canyon.

In reply to a request knowing the ice thickness at East Canyon Res. - I figure it was at least 12 inches and plenty of slush on top. If you're planning on spending any time there take a pair of water proof boots.
