the slush monster is exactly why we didn't take the four wheeler this time. Two weeks ago we had a time. I did manage a 23 inch brown todday so the walk was worth it.

Not as bad as it looked. I passed the stuck wheeler on as I went down the ramp. Asked if he wanted help, he declined, hooked a quick flip III to his wheeler, and took off. We walked across the bay and set up shop. Action was pretty good. Perch on the bottom for entertainment while we waited for suspended trout to come through. Not fast fishing, but steady.
Just as I was feeling good about our trudge across the ice, along comes a older gentleman(70+) and lady(60+) on snowshoes with a scoutmaster and a bunch of scouts in tow. Nice bunch. They set up shop by us and had a good time. I half way expected to see Bassrods come trudging by, but I guess it was his day to man the controls on the webcam[

The roads are all plowed, passenger cars & vans in the lot at the top of the ramp. Path down the ramp was packed down and in good shape by the end of the day. Stay on the snowmobile tracks that criss cross the lake and getting around isn't too bad.
Nice day on the ice,
Chester
