Fished Mantua yesterday. It is a crappy mess, especially if you get anywhere near where holes have been drilled, which after yesterday's crowds is a good many places on the east side. I took one tumble first off as I went through a drift into a pool of water. Bit wet on the pants but did not get into boots. Got couple keeper bg and a slimer that flipped back in.
Met up with Tight Line and I broke through into another slush pool this time over top of one boot. Wet foot rest of day. We continued to drill and explore places. Kyle showed me some of finer points of using a flasher. Bite was fair at best, and think we both ended up with about a dozen bluegills. Kyle got a couple nice bass, and I set record for smallest perch ever caught.
Slush went over my boots several places on walk out to firmly put both feet at the soaked level.
