On the ice at 8am and fished until 430pm. 8 of us caught a total of about 40 fish. Biggest was 20 1/2 inches. All rainbows and all had shoulders and some girth. Nice day on the lake, but about 6-8 inches of slush. Edges are starting to get bad. We fished in about 9-11 feet of water and had bites throughout the day. Small ice flies in green tipped with a crawler seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the advice BrianID.

Thanks for the report. Good to hear you were catching fatter fish. When I fished Deep Creek in December I caught a few that were on the skinny side.

Sounds like a great day on the ice! I've fished a bit out there...what percent of your fish would you say had the nasty "black dot" disease? I hope that doesn't affect the fish population any. One more Q... how was the crowd out there and is there any access down to the parking lot again?

Seemed like most of the fish caught had the black spot. From what I saw I would say around 70%. We were the first ones on the lake and throughout the day saw about 20 people. Definately not the crowd that we expected. We accessed the lake from the backside (West side I believe). There was a plowed area and quite a walk to the lake. It wasnt too steep but definately long, especially in knee deep snow. Hope this helps....
