A couple of days ago on the Web. above Echo. Snow was deep and tough. He measured 23 inches at home.
Would you believe that was the only fish I caught.
Caught him on a # 12 prince. Yeah, I know, should have released him. Didn't have my camera with me so I brought him home.
Yeah, your probably right. Still might have brought him home but maybe not. Sparky and I worked hard for this guy all afternoon and well, those fillets are very good eatun. We were all out of fish dinners and Sandy was giving us a hard time about not being a good provider.

Nice Fish, looks like all the hard work paid off. The picture doesnt do it justice, i know it was much prettier when you caught it. Great Job!!

Good fish, who cares if you legally take home a fish to eat. It's your choice, more power to you. How was the overall fishing, slow?

Very nice fish!! I bet she/he cooked up nicely.

Nice fish! No worries about keeping it! I would have too! [cool]

Nice Fish! Don't worry there are many thousands of those big guys in the Weber, he won't be missed. I was thinking of hitting the Weber over the weekend, was the water open for the most part? Has anyone seen the conditions on the Weber in Mountain Green or Taggerts lately? I want to fly fish not ice fish.

It's open for the most part above Echo and again below Lost Creek down thru Mt. Green.[
] Be carefull of the snow. I've sunk in up to my crotch in places approaching the river and it can give away with a cold dunking in the river if you are'nt careful.

My parents live in Mt. Green adn tehy still have about 4 feet of snow on the level so it may be kinda hard getting to some of your holes, like Leaky said Be Careful.

Catch and release so they can be caught again. Leaky, you should remember your camera so you don't have to kill such a nice fish to brag. Harvest the small ones.

He can keep and catch whatever fish he wants to as long as it's legal. No reason for you to give him crap about a nice brown out of the Weber.

I'm not trying to give him a hard time, just educate. Don't you think it's a shame to see a trophy fish get killed just because someone forgot the camera?

I would have kept it too. There are alot of nice fish in the weber and i usually catch a few around that size every time i go. It won't hurt it a bit to keep a fish like that every now and again. I would rather kep a trout that size anyway, they fillet MUCH easier. I usually keep all my bass too. They are delicious![

I think it's a shame he didnt invite us all over for dinner!!![mad]

I was wondering when this was going to start.[unsure] I allmost didn't post because of this. Didn't want to start this stuff again. It's tooooooooo bad that some folks think they can educate an old fart that has probably released more fish than they have caught in a life time. I do admitt that that guy was best released and I dooooooo feel some guilt and if I had had the "gumption" I would have. I will try to do better, but not because of your "education". It's kind of my own conscious that drives me to do better, not yours. Why not just enjoy the experience that I had without the self rightuous comment and be a little tolerant? Thanks for the help though.[
] You alsso seemed to completly over looked my comment that I normally keep only a few whities (didn't catch any that day) and if I keep any trout they are the smaller guys.[mad] Well, there I go, being sensitive again. After all these years, you'd think I would learn. Sorry guys and gals, at least I feel a little better now. He was great eatun though. Had the last big fillet fried in bread crumbs and covered in salsa lat night.[

I would have released it, but I'm too nice of a guy. I bet all the smaller fish were cheering when they saw that biggun' get carried off. What size is it when browns become totally fish eaters? I'm sure a few fish will become that size because that fish was taken...

[black]I didn't overlook that part where you said you would have most likely released the fish if you wouldn't had forgotten your camera.[/black]
I keep fish, but practive selective harvest. I like to release the big fish to spawn another day. I do this for you and me.

[black]Leaky you probably have released more fish than I have caught. Only cause your 1000 years old. You have no idea how many fish I've caught.[/black]
