Finally had some time available to hit Bear Lake. Unfortunately, couldn't find my GPS. Therefore, wasn't able to pinpoint where we were fishing.
First spot we tried had mixed results. In about 54' of water we caught 2 cuts and a few small whitefish. I decided to move to 40' and try for some better whitefish action; nothing, nada, not even a bite.
Moved a few more times and my friend moved to a different area than where I was fishing. He started doing pretty good and caught some more cuts and whitefish.
We were there about 4 hours and between the four of us fishing, caught 7 or 8 whitefish and 6 or 7 cuts. The biggest cut was only about 16-17".
I didn't see anyone else catch anything. A couple groups came and went after a few hours. Fishing was much slower than years past (at this time). Hopefully it picks up.
