[black]In Utah, walleyes are a numerous as elephants. Unlike many states, we don't have a real "walleye factory".[/black]

I can only offer you my personal experience with those critters. I have fished for them for many years, and used several methods. I have to say the the most successful method for me has been trolling a bottom bouncer with a spinner/worm rig.

The spring spawn will increase the chances of the angler. It provides a smaller area to find them.

I have been a fan of walleye since the 60's, and have caught them with several methods, but none as successful as the method described above.

[black]For a while, fishing with a streamer off of the swim beach at Utah Lake was good in the spring, then the lake flooded, and that fishery disappeared. Now I troll the edges of Willard (when it has water), troll Yuba in the spring, and sometimes, troll around the island at Utah Lake.[/black]

I understand that the walleye fishery at Lake Powell is coming on pretty well, but have not fished for them there.

Yes it is, hard not to catch one when targeting them.

Never caught one on a bouncer. Always on cranks.[

These are great for walleye, although some folks seem to have a problem tuning them. I don't.

Pick the model that's going to dive to the depth you want. Willard's a shallow bathtub. I can catch all the walleye I want at Willard with a Little Ripper (7' deep). The Blue Hawaiian is probably my favorite color but many other colors work too. RipSticks (12' deep) would probably be good for Willard too but I haven't tried them yet and they may bump the bottom too much.
