So I landed a big cold yesterday and thought about canceling but my brother was coming with a new friend of the opposite sex. Decided to give it a go anyways. Set up in CCE, in the east part of the bay in about 15 ft of water and landed two in about 90 min. We decided to go deeper in 30 ft and landed another 5 in about 2 hours. Way slow from what I am used to. Largest was a little over 21 and the smallest around 17. They seemed to be hitting chartreuse more than white and pepper. Radical glow chartreuse worked best. Most fish were caught on the bottom 5 ft. Most that came on the finder bit, but there just weren't many fish showing up.
Had to leave by 11am to get everyone home by 1. It was still fun and hopefully things will work out with my brothers new friend because I am know sick as a dog. Mixing cold weather, ice water and a bad cold just don't mix too well.[crazy]
I didn't think it would happen but i am actually getting the soft water itch.
