Hit Deer Creek near the island. Started out about 100 yards out on the south end, no bites so we Moved in to about 50 yards out and caught a few then moved in to about 25 yards out and got several very light strikes and ended up catching 21. Best times seemed to be between 10 and 2. Ice is still thick but shoreline is squishy, saw where a few guys had broke thru. All fish were smallish trout in the 8-16 inch range. Bites were all very light. Saw several guys fishing out to the south end of the island, none seemed to be catching any, some moved in near us and started catching small ones too.

Sounds like you guys did good, 21 trout up to 16 inches isn't too bad. From the sounds of the weather, after this weekend it might be all over for Deer creek. At least you got one more trip in there. WH2
