We hit Scofield yesterday and arrived to find the temp @ 3 deg. ! We were on the south east corner of the lake in several feet of water and had a decent day. We were catching tigers with one little bow mixed in. It was fun looking through the hole while in the tent and seeing the chubs mess with our jigs. Then the chubs would disappear and the tigers would come swimming through !! It made for a fun day. Green paddle bugs or ice cutter with a wax worm worked the best. A couple were caught with a predator ice cutter and chub meat latter in the morning. There was several + inches of snow depending where you walked. The slush was not bad but got worse as the temp got warmer. After drilling through 20 - 24 inches of ice / slush and snow it felt like you were looking down a pipe and not a ice hole !! Wind picked up around noon when we headed out.

Glad you had fun. But the real fun begins in about three weeks. The ice fishinhg will be over and there will be 15-20 feet of open water on the edges. Tube jig time!
