I took a buddy and went fishing the Jordan again today since yesterday was so productive. Same results today! We caught 5 species and this time some of the fish had some size, at least for the white bass. The white bass were biting just about everything today. I even managed to pull in a crawdad.

Looks like a good day of fishing, I was at work [Sad]. I did see some elk on the mountain but would have rather seen a fish on my pole. Saying that I'm jealous would be an understatement.

[Smile]thanks for the report I never have caught a white bass before but maybe sometime I will get the chance to. Do they give you a good fight like the largemouths do.

The bigguns are pretty scrappy but nothing compared to largemouth.

I need to get the boat ready as I need some bass fishin soon or I will go crazy.

I like to use my ultralight rod for white bass so that it feels like more of a fight.

Nice fish. If you don't mind me asking what part of the jordan are you fishing? Are the white bass all through the valley? Or are they more plentiful towards utah lake? Thanks

I was wondering the same thing, Ive only caught them down by the river outlet, but are they spread further north as well?

Also- were you just dunking a worm or pulling lures of some sort?
thanks ahead, I might take the boy and go out tonight with the extra daylight and all!

I've seen white bass caught as far north on the Jordan as the Midvale area. Also seen some groups of them from the bridge on 126 south in Draper.

You should hit white bass pretty consistant between the pump house and the bridge that crosses the river going out to eagle mountain. I used a small blue fox rainbow pattern or a 1 size mepps rainbow pattern. Thats a decent sized area I know, its just a matter of finding where the schools are. Once you find them it's every few casts and you'll have a fish on. Thats the way it's been for me the last week of fishing this area. Plan on getting muddy of you go, its pretty thick.

White bass can be found thru the entire river and various canals n holding ponds i've found them as far north as the fairgrounds.
