Ririe was fantastic on Saturday, if you got away from other groups of ice fishermen. Kokanee, trout, perch and suckers started hitting at 7:30 and continued until noon.
I caught fish until nine fishermen surrounded me and started their four power augers and then no one caught anything.
The ice is good and should be good for the next two weeks.

I'm suprised they weren't trying to share the same hole if they saw you pulling fish out. I call them "power fishermen" as in "power lunch". Competitive to the max.
We were fishing the upper Salmon near Stanley last year in August. The river was down but still a few fish to catch. We came across a couple from Alabama. Both maybe close to 70. They had a large 5 gallon bucket and were keeping everything "to eat". EVERYTHING. Some 4"ers in there! We mentioned that there was a limit and a few minutes later saw them high tail it up the bank and they disappeared...
Some folks just meat fish...[unsure]

As I posted on another thread...was at Ririe this morning(Wed.)...action started 10:00 and had my limit by 11:30.All were caught in 3 ft. or less of water. With most of the snow melted from the ice ,you might want to throw some ice cleats on your boots..very slick out there.
