[cool][#0000ff]TubeBabe and I hit Lincoln Beach about 8. Not as much open water as I had hoped. Only a large patch to the south of the (still frozen) boat channel...see pics. Deepest water we could find to fish was only 2.5 feet. Water temp ranged from 40 to 42. Remaining ice is thin and rotton. We each caught a small white bass and a couple of carp before deciding to go back to Lindon...for some deeper water.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Met Bassrods getting ready to launch his boat at Lindon. Harbor completely ice free and open for about a mile out...and a mile in each direction down the shoreline. Water depth in the harbor is about 7 feet and temperature was a surprising 44. It actually rose to 46 in a couple of places we fished along the reeds to the north.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Dragged a minnow while throwing plastics. Again, a few white bass and carp, but no cats or walleyes. Steady west breeze. Air temp over 40. What we need is a few days of 60 and a roaring south wind. Ice free in no time.[/#0000ff]
