I do not believe there are any legal/professional/reputable guides left working the middle Snake. I'd say your best bet is to schmooze someone that knows what he's doing. Offer to buy his gas and lunch, and maybe an adult beverage or two.

There was one guy, Tim Thomason that was guiding for a while, but rumor has it he quit. You might do a google on "Tim Thomason fishing"...
