Chatfield is open to boats as of 10:00 this morning. The ice went off Wednesday night, so they got all the buoys placed and got it open in less than 48 hours. Kudos to the park rangers!
The spawn taking oiperation is underway. I stopped at the DOW dock Friday morning where they're doing the walleye spawning and saw a couple of big sows -- one probably pushing 11 or 12 poiunds. Gorgeous fish!
