[Sad] UTAH LAKE: (March 18) Mostly ice free! There is no limit on white bass. Remember that tributaries to Utah Lake (from I-15 to the lake) are closed to angling March 1 through May 1!

Just read this and does it mean i can't be fishing the jordan at all.
And why? is the fish spawning.

The definition of tributaries is:

"A stream that flows into a larger stream or other body of water."

The Jordan River flows out of Utah Lake, so it is open to fishing.

[cool][#0000ff]The inflowing streams are closed to protect spawning walleyes. They congregate in large numbers and used to be heavily "harvested" by snaggers.[/#0000ff]

So does this include "rivers" like the Provo and Spanish Fork?

[cool][#0000ff]ALL INLETS. That especially includes the Provo and Spanish Fork Rivers. Major spawning tributaries. Also includes smaller waters like Battle Creek, American Fork River, Hobble Creek, Benjamin Slough, etc. If it is flowing water, entering Utah Lake, it is closed to fishing until May 1.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]For what it's worth, don't cheat. You can't stand or float in the lake and cast up into the inlet beyond the point where it enters the lake. BUSTED if you get caught.[/#0000ff]
