I'm working my ass off until about April 15 this year, so I didn't make it out. But my friends are getting out and here on the eastern slope the smaller ponds are warming and kicking out LMB, saugeye, walleye, and a few SMB, along with the standard fare of stocker trout. Water temps are in the 40s still.
The bass and 'eyes are coming primarily on Husky Jerks, Rogues, X-Raps. Some bass on jig-n-pig. Some 'eyes on Berkley Gulp plastics.
Ice fishing in the hills is about ov er -- maybe 2-3 more weeks of safe ice max.

I have made it out the last 2 weeks, one time was at Arvada Reservoir, and the other was at Carter lake. At Arvada fishing for stocked rainbows was great. At Carter the bite was slow but I ended up with a nice Kokanee.
