I guess it is more like being in the right place at the right time!!! Did anyone watch the news last night about the woman that was kidnapped from Boise and was found in Box Elder County? That was a buddy and I that "stumbled" up on the couple. Talk about a really "freaky" situation. This guy wanted to get into our car and thankfully my buddy and I both thought it didnt make any sense and went down the road a finally got some reception and notified the police. They had us go back to the "crime scene" to get our statements and Thank us. We did see the guy slumped over in the car after he shot himself, but the good news is that this woman is going to make it even though he shot her in the leg. Anyhow, we were on our way to rabbit hunt when all this happened and after all of the "drama" we ended up not seeing one rabbit!!! Oh well at least we did our "community service" for the month and she is going to make it!!!

Strong work trout_slayer...or should I call you kidnapper slayer! I'm glad that guy popped himself off, saved us taxpayers a bunch of money. Costs the guv about $2500 to bury someone, and a whole bunch more to prosecute and house them. I'll bet you were totally psyched about it all.

You and your friends presence probably saved the womans life. You are to be congratulated for your clear thinking. You can't tell where fate is going to take you in life. Who would think a rabbit hunt would turn into something so significent? Good work and congratulations.[reply]

Great job, me and my wife saw it on the news. My wife asked what "the hunters" could be hunting this time of year. I said it was probably some rabbit hunters lol.
There are truly some sick people in this world. Glad the situation turned out better than it could have.

You ARE good for something. lol[angelic]
Nice job.

Ooohhh that was a low blow[
]!!! I guess I am going to have to "re-sind" my "rabbit honey hole" post on the hunting forum, since we didnt even see one rabbit the whole damn day after all of the "action" went down!!! Oh well, want to fess up your spot?

See, this is exactly why my godmother doesn't want me going out fishing by myself (or even with people I meet off the internet). She's afraid I'll get kidnapped, raped, murdered, or whatever else horrible things happen to women in the woods alone.
But I have nobody else to go with! My dad doesn't like the idea of me going, but he won't go with me...
So I'm sort of stuck with either sitting at home bored all the time (which is what I've been doing for the last few years), or just hope I have good luck and trust in people like Trout Slayer to be nice to me

Im going to reply to myself....
I dont think this should of been moved!!! General Discussion gets the most traffic and I feel this person derserves all the credit they can get for saving a persons life!!! Come on what are you MODS doing?? Who cares if it's fishing related...

Redlight88 PM'd me the other day and told me his buddy at the SL Tribune would like to hear the story, so I shot him an email and got in touch with the "right people" and they wrote a little story about our "experience". I guess it is kind of neat to see your name in the paper, we just dont want to be called hero's that is for sure, we just did what (hopefully) anyone else would do. Here is a link to the article kind of explaining a little of what happened.

Way to go Justin, it sounds like you and your friend saved a life. The big guy upstairs was looking after that gal and he used you and your friend to make the difference, strong work guys.

Nice job and thanks for the link.

From one trowtslayr to another trout slayr. AT A BOY!! I'd like to think that everyone would of done what you and your buddy did but the truth is not everyone would of. Dont make light of what you did as something that everyone would of done cause i see a lot of people turn the other cheek when it comes to uncomfortable situations. I understand the family came back and thanked you guys for saving this ladies life. I bet that made you feel real good and made you realize what an impact you can have on another life when you choose to act instead of run away and turn the other cheek.
