Launched at Oasis at 9:30. The DWR survey guys were just launching as well. Tried several locations around the lake with no luck. The warmest water I could find was 44 deg. There were several other boats out, but everyone was moving around quite a bit. I'm assuming that meant they weren't catching anything either. I talked to the DWR net guys when I left at 1pm. They hadn't pulled any nets today, but they gave me the same numbers that were reported in an earlier post. Another week or two for Yuba to warm up and it should be good. The courtesy docks are in the water.

They had nets set up in one of the places I like to fish for walleye. In one location they had one end of the net in about 1ft of water and the other in about 25ft. They said they had caught a few perch and small northerns, but were not targeting them.

The ice is long gone. I was fishing for walleye. I think the perch are still pretty deep. I was fishing 2-15ft for the walleye. By the end of the month Yuba should be taking off.
