Action: Open recreational fishing for halibut in Puget Sound. There is a daily bag limit of 1 halibut per angler, with no minimum size limit. All catch must be recorded on a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife catch record card.

Effective date: Open 12:01 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2007 through 11:59 p.m. June 13, 2007; 5 days per week, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Species affected: Pacific Halibut

Location: Marine Areas 6-11 and 13 (Area 12 remains closed).

Reason for action: This rule conforms to federal action taken by Pacific Fisheries Management Council. The Puget Sound recreational halibut quota is sufficient to cover these dates.
