I haven't seen a BELLY BOAT for a long time. I didn't realize they were even still made!
You sit a lot lower for sure and generally on strap type seat.
If you spin or bait fish it could work. No way would I try to Fly Fish from that. He is sitting REAL low. Personally I don't think it looks comfortable but again I fly fish.

Not to mention that, that strap gets to rub-in on parts like you don't want the rubbed upon. That is how I started, so I would say they are good to start with but would suggest a "U" shaped one if you really want to be in the water. Really you would be money ahead to just save a little more and start with a fishcat that is about 159.00 or an Creek Company ODC420. If you really want to go nuts come join us with the Superfat Cat, Northfork outdoors H3 (my favorite). They are all good it is just with the V tubes you are not in nearly as much water and they are a lot easier to paddle around in. But by all means if the belly boat is the only option get one. Cause fishin from a tube just rocks.
