Went for a float with Majja today. Beautiful day, blue skies, no wind. We fished for 3 hours near the receding ice with Rapalas, jigs, spoons, etc. No hits, no runs, no errors, and no bites. We fished shallow near the brush and we also fished out deep. The bank tanglers also had no luck.

I have no idea where the fish are other than under the water! Maybe we should've headed directly for the river entrance.

Very surprising. Sounds like the Deer Creek story from 2 weeks ago. Is there any ice left and what was the water temp? Thanks

The majority of the lake is still covered with thin ice. Unforunately, I do not know the water temp there today. I'd imagine not much more than 40F at most.

Thank you for that info, by the end of this week I predict no ice and 45 degree or above water temps.
