Salmon anglers are encouraged to provide their comments on proposals to the upcoming salmon season by attending any of five Idaho Department of Fish and Game public meetings scheduled in Lewiston and the Clearwater Region.
Regional fishery personnel will provide a brief overview of prior seasons, especially the 2007 season, review factors related to 2008 projected Chinook returns, and explain fishery constraints that Fish and Game operates within.
All meetings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at these locations:
- Lewiston: Monday, March 17, Idaho Fish and Game, 3316 16th Street.
- Orofino: Tuesday, March 18, Best Western River's Edge.
- Kooskia: Wednesday, March 19, City Hall.
- Grangeville: Wednesday, March 19, Oscar's Restaurant.
- Riggins: Thursday, March 20 (7 p.m. mountain time), Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge.
