Wanted to know who owns one of these. I think this is a newer version, the Colorado XT, but I am not sure.

Are the air valves like on the Outcast Fish Cat pontoon boats or are they different.
Is this good craft compared to some others. I know the Dave Scadden is the best, but way too much for what I want.
Any information would be appreciated.

I know that tn2 has one of the classic accessories toons.. I dont remember the model but it is the one that lists for about 200.00... I do know that all models are listed as "unsinkable" in as much as they are either self sealing or have a "second" toon inside the first..
.. I have seen the one that tn2 has in action.. I like the looks of it and for the price is a toon I could afford.. only thing I dont like is the color.. its blue.. and I like the orange or yellow (dont have to mess with the safety color above water thingy... )

[#0000ff]It does have the vinyl bladders, and NO the valves are not the same as the Outcast valves. The last ones I looked at were a twist closed type that is subject to leaking. I heard they made a change but highly unlikely they went to the Halkey valves.[/#0000ff]

I have the older Colorado and love it. They have changed the valves on the XT and are a big improvement ( I think they are like the outcast now) Check out Sam's club they have them for about 299.00. A lot cheaper than Cabala's

I'm getting the Colorado XT in orange this Thursday!!! Cabelas has them on sale for $349.99, that's a $100 off the retail price.

Now you've had your Colorado for 7 years? Has the stitching & fabric on top & the PVC bottom held up too?
Why I ask, a friend owned a Trout Unlimited Togiak, made by Classic Accessories. The stitching started to come undone after a few months of use. So I'm a bit concerned. But if yours has lasted this long, I guess mine should too.

I have had mine for about 5 years now with no problems. There are a couple of my friends that have had problem with the older models valves and with the oar rest breaking. With every problem they have called and had them replaced with no ?'s asked. Classic customer service is top notch.

Thanks, it's good to be on board. The stitching on top as held up really well. I did however, have a problem with one of the pontoons bottom stitching. I had to have it restitched, but I blame myself for that because I drug it (no more than 10 ft) in and out of the water. Keep in mind that I would use the pontoon 10 to 15 times a year so it's had a good work out. I just retired it and bought myself a new 2007 model Colorado, can't wait to get it into the water.

10 to 15 outings? Man I do that per month and some months more. The bottom should be able to take dragging them, that is what you do.
I have drug my pontoon up and down 30' banks and still as good as day one. All in the material I guess.
I am impressed reading that a few have had such good luck with them. Other forums I go to don't seem to have the same response.
