Finally! Could not log on to new system, and had no response from host via e-mail!
Last sunday headed to Yuba with my son in law to take the boat out for the first time in 2 years. Batteries were charged for 3 days, Sat. night the engine turned over just fine, got to yuba at 9:00 am....DEAD BATTERIES! (sorry Ocean, if you were there I hope you had success.)
Loaded the boat back up and headed to Nephi, no stores open! Decided to get batteries in Orem and head to deer creek. 1:30 on the water, no ice anywhere lots of beautiful sunshine gotta love it! headed to the inlet area, saw no fish on the finder, went down the north side saw very few fish, decided to head up the Wallsburg arm found fish almost everywhere. First cast using a "baby blue eyes" jig tipped w/perch meat, (tube dudes recipie) pulled in a 20" Brown. That was a surprise! Stayed til 5:30 no more bites or fish. Tried lots of baits, still nothing. Bank tanglers everywhere, heard a few "squeals" but saw nothing being caught. I think I will try again (Yuba) in a few weeks.
