Fishing Forum

My boys have been begging to go fishing. I am a fly fisherman and have not hit a lake in ages. Since the rivers are getting high right now and the ice is coming off the water, it appears to be a good time for my boys to catch some fish from shore. Anyone know of any good places up North (Of Salt Lake) that are doing well that my boys could tie into something? If you don't want to discuss it here, please PM me. Any hints on bait, lures, techniques etc would be great.

Try the community ponds. I was at Farmington last week. I couldn't get a hit on flies, but some guys were doing well for small planter rainbows.with salmon eggs below a bobber. They said to fish close to shore. They appeared to be fishing out about 10'.
