Hello All-

Just a quick report on Deer Creek. Went up this morning for the first boating trip of the season. Got on the water at @ 8:30am. Nice & flat, but a bit cool. Trolled spinner/worm harnesses on the bottom by the north side of the dam, nothing, though we charted a few on the fish finder. Moved up-lake on north shore, nearly directly across from the resort launch. Trolled in about 15'-30'. Found a nice buck Walleye to suck down my worm & brought him on the boat - 21" and about 3.5 lbs. My fishing partner hooked another about the same size an hour later. Lost it right at the boat. Not much after that. Spotted quite a few sitting on structure, but no takers. I checked the stomach, empty, Which means the spawn is probably getting underway. Ended the day with a couple of nice 14" Bows caught on a Jake's trolled on the surface. Great day to be on the water.

great job on the eyes. what color was the harness?

No, lake level is way down due to the dam construction that has to get done this summer. It will not come up at all this year. In fact, the signs at the launch say the ramp may not be accessible very long at all this year[frown].

We tried a couple of different colors. The most action came on chartreuse and yellow blades.
