Drove up to check out the lake thursday night. Plenty of open water by the dam. Calamity was clear of ice and the snow is gone off the road across the dam. Water was pretty clean at that end of the reservoir...for now. Best get the boats in this weekend and give it a try. Some ice was blocking passage at the cliffs but it may be gone by saturday. Did quite well last spring trolling along the remaining sheets of ice.
