Went to Blanding/Monticello area last week. In between tenting in the Ponderosa pines, Anasazi ruins and red rocking, we did a little fishing. Here's the report:
Recapture = 0!
Foy Lake in the Abajos = 4 rainbows with lots of fish
seen in the clear water. Should be lots of fun this
summer. Beautiful area
Monticello Lake (just up the mtn. from Foy) = 0. Wonder
about winterkill. No fish seen rising or in water
Blanding #4 = 0. Windy. Reports of good fishing for
rainbows but not for us.
Blanding #3 = 6 rainbows. 10-14", looked like recent
planters.
All fish were caught on blue/silver Kastmasters or gold w/
red spots Krockodile spinners from shore.
