We were up there a few weeks ago when the ice came off. Quite a few dead fish.. big ones .
Not quite as bad as Treasureton but a good number of the big fish did die off at Chesterfield also.

I had a fellow carpooler tell me on the way to work today that Chesterfield has been drained and is nothing but a channel. Is this true? I cannot imagine that they would drain it this time of year except for dam work or an attempt to get rid of the parasites. I know the parasites were there before the last time it was drained and they showed up again as soon as the water came back up. If anyone knows how about posting a note. Thanks.

Obviously he doesn't want you to go there or he doesn't have a clue.
The lake is fine right now.

The lake level is rising according to my friend that fished it the other day. He ran into the fish cop
that said they just had a partial kill. It did put a dent in the larger older fish though.
My friend didn't catch anything over 15" he said a lot of them were under 10".
Well we ended up going up to Chesterfield Sat. It was a nice sunny day. The fishing was slow. We started out trolling and caught a few. We noticed a few fish being caught from the bank. They looked like nice fish. I did land one big fish that was around 2 to 2.5 lbs. It was just nice to be out and to feel the warm sun again.
