So while the wife and kid are out of town this week, I plan on getting in some quality fishing time.
I have been out of town for work, and so haven't been fishing in Utah for almost 3 weeks.
So, if you were me, where would you spend your time? I'm open to additional recommendations, but living in Utah County currently, here are the places I'm considering:
-Weber River below Rockport
-Middle Provo below Jordanelle
-Diamond Fork
-Scofield in the float tube
-Fish Creek
-Strawberry in the float tube
-Currant Creek (creek, not the lake)
Has anyone ever fished the Weber above Rockport? I was checking it out on Google Earth the other day, and it looks pretty sweet.
So either between my suggestions above, and maybe some of yours, where would you go? Are all the rivers blown out right now with the warmer weather?
Has anyone seen any caddis out yet? I figure the Mother's day hatch is going to be a little later this year with the colder temps we've had. What do you think?

All week you said. Huh I'd hit the Webe, DF, Fish and Currant creek. Caddis hatch isn't going yet where I've been but I've mostly fished above 6500ft in the past 10 days. If you go to D. Fork I'd check out the other streams in the Spanish Fork drainage if it hasn't rained for a couple days. They have been hot when the water isn't too off color. I'd better get back to work [frown], if I'm going to make it to the Webe this afternoon[

I'd try scofield, It's high on my list of place's to try this year. I've only ice fished this year and had alot of sucess.

The Weber below Rockport was in fine shape this afternoon. The caddis hatch seems to be just starting there. Caddis nymphs worked well. Hopefully in a few days they'll be hitting dries but it wasn't the case today.

Good to hear on the Weber, what general section where you in? I ask cause it seems most on here fish the Weber a lot lower than I do. I've only fished it below Rockport.
Again, does anyone have any experience on the Weber up above Rockport? Doesn't look like there's a whole lot of access, but the river looks really awesome from the aerial views I've seen.
Thanks again to those who've responded thus far...

I fished at Wanship and then just a bit further downstream yesterday mainly because I didn't have alot of time. You've identified the problem above Rockport. It's access there is a little but despite streams belonging to the public in this country, Utah has yet to follow the law of the land on this. Hopefully the case in the courts now will get Utah align with federal laws. Also it's in runoff right now so not forth bother with now. Fishing on the weber can be good all the way down to echo, it just depends on who much off color water is coming in at this time of the year if conditions are good.

ME, it's break out the Navigators and either Strawberry or Scofield, but thinking more Strawberry...WAHOO!

I am going to Schofield or Strawberry Friday. I am leaning towards the Berrry just to say I finally made it at ice off. Hope to get to Renegade Bay. I am going alone in my Bronco (O.J. Simpson style), so if anyone wants to go, send me a p.m. I'll leave Bountiful around 5:30 and leave Strawberry when the wind kicks up. I'll be in an old brown float tube, green cabella's hat. Stop and say hi and let me know how you are doing.[

Well, I notice this a little to late, DANGIT! Let me know how you do.

Hit Scofield and Diamond Fork Wednesday, and fished the Weber Friday.
Scofield was fun. I had my float tube bud didn't end up launching it. Just fished from shore a bit and caught 3 tigers, before the itch to fish a river took over. I definitely prefer it to lakes...
Hit Diamond Fork, and the clarity was pretty bad. Managed 3 browns and 3 cutts. That canyon is beautiful!
Thanks for everyones input. It was so nice to be able to fish in the sunshine and short sleeves. Although I wish Utah actually had a Spring Season!
