] Had a nice trip to Powell last week. The Crappie seem to be very abundant this year, and provided a lot of fun and good eating.
One of our guys caught several Largemouth Bass, with many 18 inches. He caught one 22 inch LGM, that was really a nice fish.
The temps were kind of cool for May, so the fishing should only get better at Powell this Month.
Good Luck!

Great Bass and Crappie.
What about the stripers and catfish? What did the crappies like? Where did you fish? You leave me hungry for more.

We stayed in Bullfrog Marina on a houseboat, and motored to several places for fishing. Crappies were caught mostly in Halls Creek Bay in the back by the trees. Used basic Crappie jigs, tipped with worms.
Some Stripers were caught at the mouth of Halls Creek on the left hand side, looking into Halls. There is a shelf that is shallow, then falls off in depth to the channel. Anchovies on big jigs.
Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass were caught mainly in Bullfrog Bay and Halls. Many different rigs used by our group, from basic jigs, to senkos on drop shot. No hard baits.
Some Catfish caught when using bait for Crappies, but didn't really target the Cats. We do enjoy eating them though. Also, a few Walley, but again not fishing specically for them.
Lake Canyon, Moki, also produced some fish.
Good Luck!
