We hit lp this morning and it was great again. We were headed home in 1 1/2 hours with two limits and we turned several more back. Used the standard Kokannee setup---double dees flasher with a kokannee killer or a wedding ring and shoepeg corn. The other boats were not doing well at all and i think it was because they were trolling too fast--need to be around 1.2 mph and u will catch them at any depth but 13-18 feet seem to do reall well-even as the sun got high.

Thanks for the report !..I'm gonna head back up Saturday .
Where were ya fishing if I may ask?...I have an old school bottom line fish finder (not color) and seem to have a hard time locating them...I just look for the junk floating on top...seems to work pretty well tho.

Thanks,
Scott

They seem to be around the coves close to the dam and on the north side. We were getting the best bite in around 60 feet of water and down 10-20 feet although we were marking them as deep as 60 feet. The secret is speed tho--1.2-1.4 mph--use your gps to get accurate speed. Im leaving right now to hit it again--Good fishing.

ok-today sucked// dont know what the difference was unless it was the outward flow that was increased. We only boated 5 fish for 4 hours worth of fishing. Hope u do better on saturday..

Fishing can be cruel, can't it! Just when you think you've got it figured out, you have to start over. Well, keep a few kokes up there for me until we return from our fishing trip to Kootenay Lake, in British Columbia. Talk about a steep learning curve, I have never fished the lake before, and considering that it is 99 miles long, my odds are reduced considerably. The latest report states that the large kamploops (10-20 pounds) are being caught between the surface and 85 feet! You think they could possibly be a bit more specific?! I will report when we return, and hope to return to good kokanee fishing at L.P. Mike
