Not sure about the St.Clair river.
I did target walleye in the Grand River in Grand Rapids tonight. Used jigs tipped with crawlers.
1- 11 inch walleye
3- Smallmouth (12) (19) (16)
1- Bluegill
The big smallie put up a great fight.
