Hooked up with kok head and DKSRenegade and headed to pineview before the marathon runners began.
Launched to beautiful conditions and 55* surface temps.

We headed to the pumphouse first and it took almost an hour before we boated our first smallie. After the temps started to climb the fish turned on!
To make a long story short, we boated 1 tiger, my first on a Salt Stick, Dale broke one off, had atleast 15 follows, caught 20 or so smallies, Dale caught 2 slab crappies, saw a 6#+ LMB, and missed about 30 strikes between all of us. We caught fish on almost every style of lure, Maniac Salt Sticks in changeable craw/orange and baby bass, w.m. Gitzit tubes, and 10 different crank baits. We also had 4 follows on buzzbaits. Water temp at one point was above 60*. I'm sure it will hit 65* by tomorrow afternoon.
Tons of boats on the water making a cloudy mess in most open places. Besides that, it wa an awesome day.[cool][cool]

That is some great fishing[Smile]. But the $110 dollar pass is my whole tackle and bait budget for the year, and $10 per launch is 1/3 of my gas money to Pineview and back. This is just prohibitive, I am too Sad.[frown]

Hey that lake looks pretty smooth to me! Oh if it were left to the fishermen we could give those bass and musky a fat lip. Next week it will get the rough up with the big boats. Do you think the bass are on beds or will the cold run off make them absorb their eggs?

How you rig depends on where you are fishing. Not what lake, where you are fishing. If you are in the shallows (Spring Creek) or mid depths, carolina and texas rigs are good. if you are deep water (Narrows) say marking fish hanging on the edge of a 20 -30 foot ledge you may want to go verticle and use a dropshot method or jighead.
dropshoting is my favorite way to rig cutters. I have been using the stand out hooks and pineapple weights.

I was asking about the other two pics. I have Dial-Up service because I am cheap [blush] so it took a little long to load. But they are still great pics.

Brody,
Thanks for the invite on your boat today.
I had a great time.
Getting that Tiger up to the boat was a big thrill.
You and Kelly taught me a lot about Bass fishing today.
I am now a lot more prepared to take my boat to Pineview and Mantua and chase after some Bass.
Next trip, Kokanee!

I was there this morning too. It was my first time fishing at PV in a boat. We tried throwing everything today, I only had two follow in a purple/silver holigraphic crank. They were BIG Muskies! (40"-50") We tried for bass and crappie, we just couldn't buy a bite today. I'm glad someone had a good day. I guess I need to put a litle more time in on this lake......
