Well FishBoy2 was going to join me this morning. Instead he ended up paying homage to the porcelian god in our bathroom. Poor kid.

Unloading his gear gave me a bit of a late start, but I was on the water before 7:00

Man was there a crowd at the campsite. It was tent city!! The pravilion was standing room only for breakfast (grins). I invited myself and no one seemed to mind. It was a toy air plane convention for water planes. Very distracting to the fishing I might add.

Launched from off the dike, there was already a group of 4 fishing there. Light breeze and calm water. Water temp was 61 at launch and 65 when I came in at 1:00.

Fishing wasn't stellar but it was consistant. Every 15 to 20 minutes I had something on the end of the line. There was one hot period for the whities. I almost missed it watching the air show. It didn't last long but I did manage 4 and missed at least twice that many.

Lots of mudders this year. That is mostly what I caught. Early on it was carp meat. As the water warmed it changed to minnows. Caught the biggest mudder ever this year. Wait til ya see this !!

Oh yeah the whites were all taken on a small tube jig sweetened with a bit of nightcrawler.

Now for the best part the CARP!! They were frolicking when I got there and continued to do so for a couple more hours.

Joni ya need to load up and come play!! The carp averaged 8 pounds with some huges not interested in anything but the ladies.

All the fish were extremely healthy and fat. Cats, whites, Carp, and the lone Large mouth I caught. I think he was lost and looking for his mate. No eyes taken today that I am aware of. But the bank tanglers, at least one group of them (they grew as I was on the water) Spanked the big kittys on carp meat right up until I left.

Well thats all for this report I'll post up some pics with it. Got my carera back from Kodak yesturday, and sending it back to them Monday. Not sure how many pics I actually got. I took a lot after the screen went black. Hopefully it's just the view finder and not the camera. I"m not able to re-size these pics so Until I get another editing program installed I'm going to hold off and the others. Sorry TD I'll get it corrected shortly.

[cool][#0000ff]First of all, I resized your pics for you.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Second of all, where the heck is "Linclon" Beach? Anywhere near Klingon Beach?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Third of all, nice report. Glad you were able to get out in spite of everybody bailing out on you. Sorry.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I suspect that you were fishing too far out from the reeds. The channels are going to the "bridal suites" these days and not as many of them out in the open flats. That's why the bank tanglers were catching channels. Time to get out the bobbers and fish the brush and reeds.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Sounds like Josh might have been "training" too hard the night before. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I suppose you wanna go out and play with the amateurs next weekend.[/#0000ff]

Weather was great even if it was breezy all day. That just kept the bugs down. As for the fishin, well it's all good, catchin just makes it even better! I've been skunked at UL more than once in the past. Any day I have multiple speices is a good day.

Thanks for the re-size. I sure did miss ya on the water though. Had no compition for the 1st fish LOL.

And Linclon is about 59 yards South, no West, no East, heck I can't remember. But it's right next to Lincoln Beach there on Utah Lake.

Ohh contare old wise one. Grasshopper learned his lessons well. The reeds on the south are just starting to grow again. I worked the carp right out of them. Spent a couple of hours soaking a bubble from mid point to the slough with no real luck. I fished from 3.5 feet of water to 9 feet. Most of the fish taken were between 4.5 and 6 feet.

Those bank tanglers were casting half way across the lake. 2 of them had surf rods of 11 feet. Never thought I would see that here. Kicking out was a real challenge trying to avoid their lines.
Hey but it was all good by days end. And I truly did miss your company. I hope you and your babe have reccovered enough for the next bout.

I am up to going anytime I can get away. It looks like the weekend is all I have for the time being. This weekend Saturday is all I have. I'm expecting out of state company.
