A buddy and I fished parts of Henry's Fork today. Started above the fun farm bridge, went to Ashton Reservoir for a bit and then upstream from the bridge north of Ashton. We were out for quite a while with only a few fish and a couple of sun burns to show for it. It was a fun day, but we were surprised to see the water level had jumped so high. My wife and I had gone up there yesterday evening and it seemed like the fishing was stabilizing a bit, so I wasn't expecting the river to rise almost a foot overnight.

I guess my questions are, does anyone know about when the rivers will clear up and normalize from the run-off? Will the extra snow we've received elongate the time it's in this stage?

We're planning a couple longer trips and want to be better prepared. We're hoping the Teton River will clear up soon, but are not sure how to gauge it. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks!

I think everything will be washed out for about a month. The Canyon section of the Teton will be dangerous well into July. The snow is holding on longer than it has in many years so I think we will all be surprised by how long into the summer the run off lasts.
